A lovely flame grain on two sides of the bowl, with Birdseye front and back, all curling back over the rim. The bowl has been specially carved into the apple shape to make the most of that grain. Not wanting to break the round line of the bowl, the shank and mouthpiece are round, then stepping into a saddle so that the lip is thinner for extra comfort in the mouth
